You acknowledge and accept that by your use of the Quickteller Mobile Application, we shall be privy to and store some of your personal information.

Throughout this Privacy Policy, we use the term "personal information" to describe information that can be associated with a specific person and can be used to identify that person. We do not consider personal information to include information that has been made anonymous so that it does not identify a specific user.

 Types of Personal Information Collected
Contact information (such as your full name, mobile phone number, email address and other similar information).

  1. Financial information (such as full bank account number and payment card details e.g. Card Verification Value (CVV), Personal Identification Number (PIN) etc.)

    When you download or use our Quickteller Mobile Application, we may receive information about your location and your mobile device, including a unique identifier for your device. Please note that we may use this information to provide you with location-based services, such as advertising, search results, and other personalized content. Most mobile devices allow you to control or disable location services in the device's setting's menu. If you have questions about how to disable your device's location services, we recommend you contact your mobile service carrier or the manufacturer of your particular device.


Use of Personal Information

We may use your personal information for the purpose of:

  1. Providing you the Quickteller Service, processing transactions and sending you related information;
  2. providing, maintaining and improving our services;
  3. sending support and administrative messages to you;
  4. responding to your enquiries and requests;
  5. providing customer support service;
  6. updating you on products, services, promotions, rewards, and events offered by us and third parties;
  7. better understanding your needs by combining it with information collected from others;
  8. customer support;
  9. send notices about your transactions;
  10. verify your identity, including during account creation and password reset processes;
  11. resolve disputes,
  12. troubleshoot problems; manage risk, or to detect, prevent, and/or remediate fraud or other potentially prohibited or illegal activities;
  13.  detect, prevent, or remediate violations of policies or applicable user agreements;
  14. manage and protect our information technology infrastructure;
  15. provide targeted marketing and advertising,
  16. Other unaffiliated third parties, for the following purposes:
    1. Fraud Prevention and Risk Management;
    2. Legal Compliance: to help them comply with anti-money laundering and counter-terrorist financing verification requirements; and
    3. other related purposes.


 Use of Cookies and Similar Technologies

  1. When you access our Quickteller Mobile Application we may place small data files on your computer or another device. These data files may be cookies, pixel tags, "Flash cookies," or other local storage provided by your browser or associated applications (collectively referred to as "Cookies"). These technologies are used to recognize users as customers; customize our services, content, and advertising; measure promotional effectiveness; help ensure that account security is not compromised; mitigate risk and prevent fraud.


  2. You can freely decline our Cookies if the web browser or browser add-on permits, unless our Cookies are required to prevent fraud or ensure the security of websites we control. However, declining our Cookies may interfere with your use of our websites and Interswitch Services


Protection and Storage of Personal Information

We cannot guarantee the safety of your personal information stored and processed on our systems. However, we do take physical, technical, and administrative security measures to reduce the risks of loss, misuse, unauthorized access, disclosure and alteration. Some of the safeguards we use are firewalls and data encryption, physical access controls to our data centres, and information access authorization controls.

 Sharing Personal Information with Other persons on our system

  1. When transacting with others, we may provide those parties with information about you necessary to complete the transaction, such as your name, account ID, contact details, or other information needed to promote the reliability and security of the transaction. If a transaction is held, fails, or is later invalidated, we may also provide details of the unsuccessful transaction to our partners. 


  2. We work with third parties, including merchants, to enable them to accept or send payments from or to you using our services. In doing so, a third party may share information about you with us, such as your email address or mobile phone number, to inform you that a payment has been sent to you or when you attempt to pay a merchant or third party. We use this information to confirm that you are our customer, or to send you notification of payment status. Also, if you request that we validate your status as our customer with a third party, we will do so.


Sharing Personal Information with Third Parties 

We may share your personal information with:

  1. Members of our group to provide joint content, products, and services (such as registration, transactions, and customer support), to help detect and prevent potentially illegal acts and violations of our policies, and to guide decisions about their products, services, and communications.


  2. Financial institutions.


  3. Banking partners as required by credit/debit card association rules for inclusion on their list of terminated merchants.


  4. Companies that we plan to merge with or are acquired by. 


  5. Companies, such as email service providers that perform marketing services on our behalf;


  6. Third parties to enable us to provide the service to you


  7. Law enforcement, government officials, or other third parties pursuant to a subpoena, court order, or other legal process or requirement applicable to us or one of our affiliates; when we need to do so to comply with law or credit/debit card rules; or when we believe, in our sole discretion, that the disclosure of personal information is necessary to prevent physical harm or financial loss, to report suspected illegal activity or to investigate violations of our user agreement.
