Interswitch East Africa (U) Limited through its card scheme, Verve, partnered with Future Link Technologies (FLT) to accelerate the adoption of digital technology by providing ATM cards to Buyanja Savings and Credit Cooperation (SACCO) in Rukungiri district in Southwestern Uganda. The collaboration makes it possible for Buyanja SACCO members to access their funds from over 600 Interswitch-enabled ATMs and to buy goods and services from stipulated Point of Sale (POS) terminals across the country.

Speaking at the launch, Oliver Nayebare, the CEO of Buyanja SACCO said "Buyanja SACCO is excited to be a pioneer in issuing ATM cards to its customers in Southwestern Uganda. We are grateful for this collaboration with Interswitch and Future Link Technologies. The SACCO members will enjoy the convenience of accessing their money from additional channels across the country at an affordable cost. Our sister SACCOs have been inspired and we hope they will take up the product as well. Members who have used the card so far appreciate the convenience which they are now able to enjoy. Buyanja SACCO looks forward to a brighter and stronger future together.”
